DSV Joanne Morrison

The Joanne Morrison is a 240’ dive support vessel with saturation diving capabilities in up to 1,000 feet of seawater. The vessel is equipped with a four-point mooring system for primary station-keeping during diving operations. Two White Gill dynamic positioning thrusters are utilized during ROV activities and to support the mooring system in marginal weather conditions. Accommodations for 54 people allow for 24-hour construction activities.

The saturation life-support equipment, dive compressors and welding machines are installed below deck to give ample back deck space for material/equipment storage and fabrication of pipeline components. The DSV’s performance is further enhanced by a marine-rated 70-ton hydraulic Mantis crane, an octagon- shaped moon pool to deploy the saturation dive bell, and a hydraulic dive bell launch-and-recovery system.

The vessel has a second moon pool to facilitate subsea intervention work such as wire line and coil tubing operations to assist in the abandonment of subsea systems. 

Upon request, the vessel can be equipped with a work-class ROV for subsea inspection, pipeline as-builting, and construction activities.
